My father and his siblings attended this school. By all accounts one of the teachers Mr Perkins ? used to spit his orange pips at the children. there was a row of outside toilets.
I remember seeing it just before it was demolished.
I was at the school In the late forties/fifties. They had some good teachers. Many of the children passed the 11plus – owing that to the teacher Mrs., Bull.
Only snag were the toilets – at the other end of the playground – they were cold in winter – as were the bottles of milk. But I think the kids were happy, That`s the main thing.
