Wihtlac's Ford (possible site)
The possible, and most likely, site of a ford dating to the Early Medieval and Medieval periods. The ford is known from documentary evidence as a location for the Wihtlac's Ford. It is a crossing point of the River Arrow and is located west of Wixford.
1 One of two possible sites for the Wihtlac’s Ford referred to in 1086 (and in a spurious 10th century charter). This site is the more likely, representing a crossing point over the River Arrow just west of Wixford.
