Notes about this historic site

Likely site of deserted village of Drayton.
No visible evidence for desertion.
In 1979 a site visit showed the area designated as the site of Drayton to contain no earthworks other than ridge and furrow.
Lidar images show some potential settlement earthworks and associated ridge and furrow. The ridge and furrow is quite varied in type and some of it appears to be early.
