Notes about this historic site
1 Acheulian hand axe 84 mm by 65 mm found at Heathcote in soil dumped at the sewage works from excavation of the filter beds. Donated in April 1959.
3 A small, thin, almost ovate biface hand axe found in April 1959 on a soil dump. The soil came from the filter beds at the above grid reference. Probably from 4th terrace gravel.
