Evaluation at Springfield Nurseries
An archaeological evaluation including fieldwalking and trial trenching was carried out by the Warwickshire Museum between March and June 1991. Pottery found in field walking exercise included very small quantity of Roman tessarae and ?Roman glass.
1 An archaeological evaluation including fieldwalking and trial trenching was carried out by the Warwickshire Museum between March and June 1991. A small quantity of pottery and other finds dating to the Roman, Medieval and Post Medieval periods was recovered from the topsoil. However no features were located during the trial trenching and it is likely that the material in the topsoil resulted from manuring.
