Description of this historic site

Compton Scorpion Manor House which was built during the Post Medieval period. It is located to the south west of Windmill Hill.

Notes about this historic site

1 The present manor house is a stone built structure of two storeys with attics. Early 18th century or possibly late 17th century parapeted with sash windows.
2 Late 17th century house with 18th century alterations, birthplace of poet Sir Thomas Overbury, 1581.
