The original house was the property of the Venour family 1560-1857 and was then brought and rebuilt by the Revd John Lucy of Charlecote and Hampton Lucy (Bolton, EMR & Bolton, PM: A Wellesbourne Guide: Wellesbourne Mountford: Wellesbourne: 1989-: 20-21).
This information is incorrect and has been largely confused with the house in Bridge Street known as the Manor, which in itself is only partially true.
This was the home of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the US Girl Scouts, from 1889-1901.
Does anyone know anything about Wellesbourne House Garage where my grandfather worked for William Lawrence in 1922-1923?
William Lawrence was my Grandfather. My father was William Robert Lawrence and he also lived at the Wellesbourne House Garage.
I do not have any other information at this time.
