It is rumored that Edward De Vere visited this home and would therefore perhaps maybe possibly
met the Shagsper fellow and saw a convenient and decidedly perfect foil to deflect attention from himself in the public sphere. This hypothetical scenario is as good as any Stratfordian one. someone out there may have more to add.
