We moved into Vicarage Lane in the mid 1960s. I have very dim memories of it being a lovely leafy area but just can’t work out the perspective on this photo- would love to see more photos of the time.
This photo is actually looking up Old Coleshill Road from the corner of Vicarage Lame and Plank Lane.
I agree with Valerie. I think it shows the triangle formed by plank Lane into Old Coleshill Road the furthest house on the left I believe used to be in my childhood the surgery of Dr Summers. In the triangle itself was the horse chestnut tree. In the autumn on the way back from school groups of us would throw sticks into the branches trying to dislodge confers.
