This was always called in Rugby School slang ” The Tosh” which meant swimming bath. However Tosh was always used to describe a bath of any description to have a good soak in, particularly after a game of Rugby Football. I was an inmate in the late ’50s for my pains. Not a very pleasant place to be confined back then in my opinion.’
