A local schoolmaster Mr Hassall mentions this station in his school logbook:
- Jan. 15th 1892. The new books for the library to the worth of £4. 10. 0 arrived at Brandon Station from the Religious Tract Society.
- Aug. 28th 1903. Another parcel of goods from Birmingham, containing Thermometers, Drawing Books, Copy and Exercise Books for Arithmetic in upper Standards. But a jar of ink sent on Aug. 22nd has not yet arrived at the station.
- Jan. 27th 1906. Goods from Birmingham have been down at the Railway Station since last Saturday although I paid for the carriage, & asked the Station Master to send them up. [They arrived the following day]

Both photos were taken by HJ Stretton-Ward of Leamington whose collection was sold on to various people but principally Gordon Coltas. See http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/lms/brandonwolston.htm for information on the station and photographs
Many thanks for this helpful information Mike. By the way did you know there are lots of photos on the ‘Windows on Warwickshire‘ website that might interest you? They would be delighted to hear from you (or anyone else) if you can identify any other missing photographers.
Both the above sites are excellent and well worth a peek.
I remember walking from our house in Avondale Road with suitcases and boarding the steam train at Brandon for our summer holiday in the 1950s. So convenient. Returning to Brandon station we were able to thank the train driver as we walked past on the platform. Happy days. Also as children we took delight on hearing a train approach and running to see it and waving to the driver.
