Studley Needle Heritage

This is a Heritage Lottery Funded project to explore and share the story of the bygone needle manufacturing industry in Studley (Warwickshire, UK) from the 17th century when it all began. The project will underpin the work already undertaken by SIP (Studley Improvement Partnership), such as the needles sculpture on the Barley Mow island in the centre of the Village (completed in 2011), with a lasting tribute housed in Studley Village Hall.

Main aims

The main aims are to share heritage, celebrate the involvement of so many local families and ensure that the younger generation and newcomers to the Village understand and remember the importance of the needle industry in helping to shape the Studley of today. Please follow and share our efforts – and use our Facebook Page to find news of and comment on our progress and events.
