Aston Cantlow and District Local History Society

Aston Cantlow and District Local History Society was formed in 1994.  Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of alternate months throughout the year, usually they are held in the medieval Guild Room in Aston Cantlow Village Hall, but for larger events in Wilmcote Village Hall. Historical visits and events are arranged during the summer months.

Book

In 2000 The Society published a book” A Passage in Time in a Warwickshire Parish ” which covers The villages of Aston Cantlow and Wilmcote, together with the hamlets of Little Alne, Newnham,Shelfield, Pathlow, and Billesley.  Copies of a revised version are available in CD from the Society, details on our archive web page.

Archive room

An archive room was opened in 2004 in Aston Cantlow Village Hall to store our collection of historical material,which is used for exhibitions and research.
