Stourton is four miles South-East of Shipston-on-Stour and is adjacent to Cherington. The Victoria County History mentions how since 1910 the ecclesiastical parish of Cherington has included the hamlet of Stourton. Historically, Stourton has been part of the parish of Whichford.
