Luddington is a village about three miles south-west of Straford-on-Avon. There have been a number of archaeological finds dating settlement at least back to the Romans. It has been suggested that Anne Hathaway married Shakespeare in the church here, but unfortunately the church records were lost in a fire in the 19th century.
