There are a number of elephant statues to be found in the Jephson Gardens (no doubt inspired by the elephants who used to live in the town).

Here is a recent addition – three elephants in a circular seat. The one shown in the photo has a permanent rider, but all of them invite children to climb on their backs.

    the elephant seat was moved to the Gardens from its original position in Whiteheads Court, the northern entrance to the Royal Priors Shopping Centre
