The possible site of a Medieval bridge. The bridge may have stood on the site of the modern Ryton Bridge, 500m south east of Toll Bar End.

Notes about this historic site
1 Ryton Bridge is modern but there was an earlier bridge on the same site although the name given to that seen by Leland and mentioned by Dugdale was ‘Finford’ Bridge. It is referred to by this name in the Quarter Sessions Records.
