Notes about this historic site

1 A cropmark at this location was described by Mrs Hewitt-Winch during a site visit to Old Milverton in August 1998, though it was not then visible. It had been visible in 1996 as a line of enhanced crop growth.

This feature is clearly visible on the GE 1999 imagery. However, the 1945 imagery shows it as a field corner – hedges have been lost.
