A Warwick Guest House Visitors' Book

The book begins in August 1915, and at first the guests are mainly theatrical folk. As World War I progresses servicemen gradually dominate. There are many appreciative comments about the comforts of no. 4, and the kind welcome and good food provided by Mrs Gardner. Many guests wrote humourous verses, or drew sketches to illustrate the book, and there is one postcard of a tank and its crew in a UK town, provided by members of the Tank Corps. Entries tail off sharply from the early 1920s.
