This photo was taken in my back garden on New Year’s Day. And the first of these daffodils opened on December 16th so it really was ‘Daffodils in December’ at the end of 2015 in Warwickshire. We were not alone – daffodils were reported flowering from Kent to Scotland. The blue flowers in the background are periwinkles but I’m not sure whether they’re late survivors from last summer or an early sign of the summer to come.
